Ingredients

  • for the cake layer
  • mayonnaise - 7 oz (200 g)
  • water - 2 cups
  • flour - 4 cups
  • cocoa - 10 tbsp.
  • sugar - 2 cups
  • baking powder - 2.5 tsp (12 g)
  • for the cream
  • milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • semolina - 2.8 oz (80 g)
  • sugar - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • coconut - 7 oz (200 g)

1 cup = 250 ml

Cake layer preparation:

All of the products are placed in a bowl and beaten with a mixer.

The mixture is poured into a cake tin with a removable bottom, which is covered with baking paper.

Bake it at 360°F (180°C) until it is fully baked. Once it has cooled, cut it into two thinner cake layers.

Cream preparation:

Mix the milk with the sugar and semolina and boil on low heat, until it has thickened.

To the hot cream with semolina add the coconut shavings and leave the mixture tocool.

In a suitable tray put the first cocoa cake layer and half the cream on top, put the second cake layer and spread the whole coconut cake with the rest of the cream.
