How to make

Dissolve sugar, salt, cinnamon and butter in the milk. Make a well in the flour, pour the mixture and add the yeast.

Knead a soft non-stick dough, by gradually adding the flour. Cover it with cling film and leave for an hour.

Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into thin crescents.

Divide the dough into 3 parts and roll out three rectangles onto a floured surface. Cut each rectangle into 9 strips.

Put baking paper in a 9″ (22 cm) tray. Take a strip of dough and roll it into a spiral in the middle of the tray.

Arrange upright crescents of apples around it. Put another strip of dough around the apples and repeat, until you run out of the products. Sprinkle with 4 tbsp. of sugar and bake the pie in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes.

Melt 3.5 oz (100 g) of butter and mix it with 2 tbsp. of sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.

Take out the baked apple cake and while it is still warm, spread it generously with the mixture.

For those who do not have time or cannot knead, it can be done with puff pastry.

The spiral apple cake is ready.
