"Change it up from the traditional with this Canadian-Style Chickpea Casserole - whoever hasnt tried, has definitely missed out"

Ingredients

  • minced meat - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • canned chickpeas - 7 oz (200 g)
  • pickled cucumbers - 8 pcs.
  • potatoes - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • milk - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml) or sour cream
  • spices - by taste
  • salt

How to make

While the potatoes are boiling, fry the minced meat, by adding spices accordng to your taste.

Mash the boiled potatoes inta a puree and season them as usual (with milk or sour cream, whatever you prefer).

Place the prepared minced meat in a suitable baking dish. Place the sliced pickles, then a layer of chickpeas and finally a layer of mashed potatoes on top of the minced meat.

Drizzle everything with the melted butter. Bake the casserole in the oven, until it aquires a golden brown color.
