"If celebrating Orthodox Easter and you end up with a ton of leftover panettone, dont worry, we know exactly what to do with it"

Ingredients

  • panettone - 1 dry
  • eggs - 5
  • milk - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • essence - half vanilla and half rum
  • raisins - optional + dried fruits

How to make

Cut the panettone in slices. Beat the milk, eggs and sugar with the essence and pour the mixture over the panettone that has been arranged in an appropriate form.

Between the slices, distribute raisins if you like and other dried fruits. Allow to stand for 10-odd minutes, then put it to bake in a moderately heated oven at 390°F (200 °C) for half an hour.
