How to make
Sift the flour into a bowl and add the sugar and finely grated lemon peel (only the yellow part).
Add the solid butter in pieces and knead with your fingers, until a crumbly mixture is obtained.
Crack the egg, which should also be cold, out of the fridge and add the baking powder at the end.
Knead a smooth dough, from which you can tear off small pieces and form balls the size of a walnut. Arrange them at about 1.2″ (3 cm) apart in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Put the cookies in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) for 18-20 minutes. Wait for them to cool and serve them. In case you will not consume them immediately, store them in an airtight container.
