"You`ll get the urge to substitute these aromatic garlic pitas with carbonated water."

Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)
  • yeast - 1 1/2 tsp, dry
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons + some for spreading
  • carbonated water - 1 1/3 cups (330 ml), cool
  • garlic - 3 cloves
measures

How to make

Make a well in the sifted flour. Put the olive oil, pressed garlic, salt and yeast in it. Gradually add the soda water and knead a smooth dough that is elastic.

Put it in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth and let it rise. Knead the dough on a floured kitchen counter and divide it into 10 balls. Roll them out into pitas and brush each with olive oil.

Thus prepared garlic bread is baked in a tray in the oven until ready.
