How to make
Wash the prunes, parboil with boiling water and peel them. Cut carefully and remove the pits. In their place, put 1 walnut in each. Sprinkle them with the sugar and let them sit as is for 24 hours.
Put the dish with prunes to boil on medium heat, removing the foam regularly. Boil to the point when a drop of the jam does not run when dripped onto a plate. Add the citric acid to the ready jam, stir and remove from the heat. Flavor with vanilla and pour it into jars.
Immediately close them and turn them with the cap down. Once completely cool, store in a dry place.
