How to make
This is a very aromatic and pleasant drink. It can be prepared by just putting wormwood flowers in fermented wine, but the real wormwood cocktail is a bit harder to prepare.
Make a mixture from the wormwood, yarrow, common centaury, thyme, elderberry, marjoram, lemon balm, with the largest amount being the wormwood flowers.
In a wine barrel with a catchment inside of the spigot, arrange a layer of grapes, a thin layer of the herb mixture, a layer of sliced apples and quinces. Keep arranging thus until 2/3 of the container becomes full. Close it tightly with a lid and pour in a young, 1 year-old wine until the barrel is full.
Close with the lid. This wormwood is usually ready within 30 days. If it's too bitter, you can add sugar.
The finished wormwood cocktail is poured into bottles.
