How to make
The walnuts are finely chopped.
Sift the flour into a bowl with 4 full tbsp. of powdered sugar and mix them with 4 tbsp. of walnuts and vanilla.
Add lard, which should be neither too hard nor too soft.
Knead a soft dough and if necessary add butter or flour to achieve the desired texture.
The dough is formed into a ball and stored in the refrigerator to set for 1 hour.
Form balls smaller than a walnut and arrange them in a tray covered with baking paper.
Bake them in a preheated oven at 370°F (190 degrees) for 12-15 minutes, or until they begin to aquire a pleasant color.
The remaining walnuts are mixed with powdered sugar, the sweetness is determined by taste. In any case, the walnuts should be more than sugar.
The lard balls are rolled generously in the dry mixture while they're still hot. Cute lard balls with walnuts, which resemble candies, are obtained.
Enjoy!
