Ingredients

  • wholemeal flour - 1 cup
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • yogurt - 1 cup
  • soda - 1 tsp.
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • honey - 4 tbsp.
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp.
  • oil - 1/2 cup

How to make

Sift the flour.

In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients without the honey and flour. Mix everything well and add the sifted flour, while stirring evenly.

Cover a medium-sized baking pan with baking paper and pour the cake mixture in it.

Bake the delicious wholemeal sponge cake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) until it is fully baked (about 40 minutes was enough for mine).

After you take it out from the oven, pour honey over it, which is absorbed by the sponge cake quickly.

If you don't want the cinnamon sponge cake to be very sweet, reduce the amount of sugar, because it turns out quite sweet.

If desired, sprinkle the honey and cinnamon wholemeal sponge cake with powdered sugar, crushed walnuts or biscuits.
