Ingredients

  • filo pastry sheets - 12 pcs.
  • yellow cheese - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • eggs yolk - 1 pc.
  • savory herb
  • smoked paprika
  • butter - 1 oz (30 g)

How to make

Melt the butter on the stove.

Cut 6 rectangular pieces of yellow cheese, which are at least 0.4″ (1 cm) thick.

Use 2 sheets - spread the first one with the melted butter and put the second sheet on top, then put a piece of yellow cheese on them and wrap it up.

Put the yellow cheese in filo pastry sheets on baking paper.

Put it in a non preheated oven and bake at 360°F (180 degrees) until the crusts are baked.

Before putting it in the oven, spread the egg yolks on top of the filo pastry sheets and sprinkle the pastry with smoked paprika and savory herb.

Once you turn off the oven, take out the baked cheese pastry.

If you leave the oven-baked yellow cheese in the hot oven longer, it may start coming out of the pastry.
