How to make
Cut the meat into chunks and put it in hot oil. Once the meat is sealed on all sides, add the chopped onion and stir.
Once the onion softens, remove it from the heat and pour it into a large bowl. Strain the beans and peas from of the water and add them to the meat.
Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into chunks. Wash, clean and chop the remaining vegetables. Add them to the meat.
Add the grated tomatoes, season them and stir. Pour the dish into a clay pot and add about 1/2 cup of water.
Place the lid on and bake it for 1 hour at 390°F (200 degrees) and another 3 hours at 300°F (150 degrees).
Sprinkle the cooked güveç with fresh parsley.
