"Homemade Coconut and Chocolate Candy - dont miss it!"

Ingredients

  • fine coconut shavings - 7 oz (200 g)
  • water - 4.4 fl oz (130 ml)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • milk - approximately 12 tbsp (to correct the consistency if needed)
  • [for the chocolate bain - marie]
  • chocolate - 7 oz (200 g) (50% cocoa)
  • water - approximately 1.7 fl oz (50 ml) to dissolve the chocolate
measures

How to make

Place the sugar and water in a small pot and boil for 2-3 minutes. Set the sirup aside and add the coconut shavings.

Once the coconut paste cools down, chill it in the fridge for 1-2 hours. If it is too hard you can add a few tbsps of milk.

Form round or finger shaped candy, arrange in a plate or two, and freeze them for 30-40 minutes.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie with a little water. Make sure the chocolate sauce is not to thick. That way it will be easier to dip the coconut balls.

Dip each coconut ball in the chocolate sauce and place them on a plater, covered with baking paper. Chill in the fridge, until the chocolate is solid.

Enjoy!
