How to make
Cover the lamb with 8 cups of water and bring to a boil. Remove the foam, then add the onion, spices and barley.
If necessary, add more water, simmer for about an hour. Add the remaining vegetables, sprinkle with salt and pepper and simmer for another 35 minutes.
If it is very greasy, remove the fat on the surface of the lamb soup with a suitable spoon. Serve hot.
