Ingredients

  • bread - 4 slices wholemeal
  • tomatoes - 1 - 2 pcs.
  • mozzarella - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • olive oil
  • oregano
  • black pepper
  • basil - fresh
  • oil - for spreading

How to make

Grease each slice of bread thinly with butter. Peel the tomatoes, clean the seeds, and cut them into small cubes. Cut the mozzarella into slices.

On top of each slice, arrange a row of tomatoes and a piece of mozzarella on top of each other and so on until the whole slice is covered. Sprinkle with oregano, a pinch of black pepper and pour a little olive oil.

Bake the crostini in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) for 8-10 minutes until the mozzarella is melted. Serve with a sprig of fresh basil.

The crostini with tomatoes and mozzarella are ready.
