Ingredients

  • tomatoes - 2 - 3
  • cucumbers - 1 large
  • red onions - 1/2 head
  • chickpeas - 1 cup
  • lemons - juice of 1 lemon
  • oil - 3 - 4 tablespoons
  • chat masala - a mixture of crushed cumin, coriander, dried ginger, salt, black pepper, chili powder, crushed and dried mango
  • parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

How to make

Soak the chickpeas the previous day in water, peel them, and boil until tender. You can use canned ones. Cut the tomatoes and cucumbers into pieces and mix with the chickpeas and onions that you've cut into thin crescents.

Prepare a mixture of lemon juice, oil, a little chopped parsley and 1 teaspoon of chat masala or a blend of the listed spices. Flavor the salad with this dressing and serve. Chana chat salad has a slightly spicy taste.
