How to make
Dissolve the yeast in 4/5 cup (200 ml) of cool water with the sugar and leave it until effervescent. Add all the products to the sifted flour and knead the flour gradually. Set 1 yolk aside.
Leave the dough to rise for about 30 minutes at room temperature. Tear short pieces of the dough, shape them into oblong thick sticks and put the filling in the middle. You can shape them like pockets and fold them in 2 with a stuffing made of feta cheese in the middle or make them into scones.
Arrange the breadsticks in a greased tray and leave them to rise for 45 minutes. Finally, brush them with a whisked egg yolk and put them to bake in a preheated oven at about 390°F (200 °C).
