How to make
Boil the potatoes in salted water until they're fully cooked. Meanwhile, prepare the other vegetables.
Peel and finely chop the tomatoes, break the broccoli into smaller pieces, wash the spinach and leave it to dry and finely chop the onion.
Peel the potatoes while they are warm and mash them along with the butter, cream, black pepper, lemon juice and peel, salt and chopped parsley with a fork or a masher. Once you get smooth mashed potato puree, add the eggs and mix until you get a smooth mixture.
Blanch the broccoli in boiling salted water for 8-9 minutes. When you take them out, you can dip the fresh spinach leaves in the same water for a few seconds to set a little, but this step is optional.
Fry the onion in the heated olive oil and when it softens, add the tomatoes, salt and black pepper. Stir until the sauce thickens.
At the bottom of a pan or a pie pan, spread the tomatoes, arrange the broccoli, salt them and then add a thin layer of spinach.
It's time for the fish! Cut it into cubes and arrange it on the spinach. Sprinkle with a little salt, olive oil and the grated cheddar.
On top of the fish pie, pour and flatten the potato and egg mash.
Put the pan in a preheated 390°F (200 degree) oven and bake the rich savory pie for about 30 minutes on the lower rack. Once the pie forms a golden crisp on top, the savory fish pie with potatoes is ready.
Enjoy your meal!
