How to make
Wash and clean the squid. Cut them into circles.
Put a pinch of salt, bay leaf, and lemon juice in a bowl.
Add the squid. Mix well. Cover the bowl with cling film or lid and leave for half an hour in the refrigerator.
Remove and strain the squid.
In another bowl, mix the beer with the flour. Beat the formed coating with a wisk.
Roll each squid circle, first in the flour and then in the beer mixture.
Fry the breaded calamari in well-heated oil on both sides until golden.
Remove the Mediterranean calamari and soak up the fat with kitchen paper.
Serve with lemon slices and mayonnaise.
