  • white bread - 3.5 oz (100 g), dry
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • milk - 1/2 cup
  • sugar - 5 tbsp. (70 g)
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp (5 g)
  • butter - to grease the pan and pancakes

How to make

The dry bread is crumbled into small crumbs. A blender or food processor with a suitable function can be used.

Beat the eggs lightly with the sugar, vanilla sugar and milk. Add the bread crumbs, stir and let the mixture sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.

Grease the bottom of a non-stick pan well with 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Heat over medium heat.

Before the butter starts to burn, add two full tablespoons of the mixture and spread in the form of a pancake, no larger than 8 cm in diameter.

Cook each pancake for 2 minutes on one side, then turn and cook for 1 minute on the other side. Make sure the cooked side is also greased with butter.

Remove the cooked pancakes into a plate and cover them with a clean towel to keep warm and soft.

Serve with your favorite jam or spreadable chocolate and if you want to add contrast to your plate add some salty cheese.

A wonderful way to use the leftovers of our dry bread and have a hot and tasty breakfast on the table.
