How to make
Whisk the butter with the powdered sugar, add the eggs in successively, then the yoghurt, which has the baking soda, flour and vanilla dissolved in it.
Finally, add the cherries or sour cherries - fresh or canned, pitted. Stir the mixture, pour it in a buttered oven dish, and bake in a moderate oven at 340°F (170 °C).
Serve the cake sprinkled with powdered sugar.
