How to make
Tenderize the pork steaks. Sprinkle them well on both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat the larger portion of the lard and fry both sides of the meat until it gets a nice crust. Make sure you are cooking in a pot with a lid.
Once the meat fries nicely, add the diced garlic, a little bit more lard and let it saute on a low fire for another 15-20 minutes or until the meat is ready.
You can serve the sauteed pork steaks with a side of mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables or pickled cabbage. If you like you can also add other spices - thyme, rosemary or parsley.
