How to make
Beat the eggs to whitening with the sugar and add the oil in a thin trickle, while constantly whipping. Start adding the flour with the baking soda.
Dilute the jam with the water and add it in, while stirring with a spoon. Finally mix the walnuts in. Optionally, flavour it with vanilla and pour the mixture into a lightly greased and floured cake form.
Put the cake with jam to bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven. If needed, put foil to prevent burning.
Leave the finished cake to cool slightly and invert it onto a platter. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or make a cocoa glaze.
