"I`m not too sure what a gratin is but anything that has a layer of potatoes and a layer of bacon is bound to be amazing."

Ingredients

  • potatoes - 2.21 lb (1 kg)
  • bacon - 11 oz (300 g)
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • onions - 1 - 2 red head
  • cream - 4/5 cup (200 ml) liquid cooking cream
  • mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • milk - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • cheese - hard, for sprinkling

How to make

Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Cut the bacon into large thin slices. Finely crush the garlic and cut the onion into thin rings. Begin to stack an oiled layer, then fries, bacon, a little crushed garlic and onion rings, repeat until you run out of products.

Between the rows, sprinkle some seasoning to taste. Beat the cream lightly with mustard and fresh milk, add a little salt and pepper.

Put the gratin in to bake until ready, in a moderately hot oven. Finally, sprinkle with grated cheese (edammer, gouda or plain) and bake until melted.
