Beat the eggs with sugar, add the flour, baking powder and vanilla. Pour the shaken mixture into a lightly greased baking paper on a tray.
Mix and bake until ready in a moderate preheated oven. From the baked crust, cut out rectangles. Spread them with a jam of your choice and a little cream. If you add the cream while still hot, it might leak.
That's why it's best to spread them with jam while still warm, wait for them to cool and only then pour on the cream.
