"Being a sultan may have its down sides, such as all those mother-in-laws but it does have its benefits - good food and really tasty meatballs."

Ingredients

  • mince - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • tomato paste - 1 tsp
  • potatoes - 4
  • eggs - 3
  • onions - 1/2 head
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • parsley
  • nutmeg
  • breadcrumbs
  • feta cheese - grated
  • cheese - grated
  • oil - for frying
measures

How to make

Braise the mince with the chopped onions, tomato paste and spices.

Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them as if for mashed potatoes, then mix with 1 egg, flour and salt.

Spread out the potato dough on the table and use a cup to cut out 4 or 6 pitas. In the middle of 1/2 of them, place the fried meat, cover with the other pitas.

From the remaining eggs, flour, pinch of salt and a little water, prepare a pancake dough.

Dip the meatballs in the pancake dough, then in breadcrumbs and braise in the heated oil.

Right after frying, sprinkle with a mixture of feta cheese and cheese.

Serve with a salad or tomato sauce.
