Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)
  • water - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • onions - 2 heads, large
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tsp (7 g) dry
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp

How to make

Chop the onion and fry in heated oil and add a bit of sugar. Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water and add the remaining sugar. After 20 minutes, add it to the sifted flour and add the onion.

Knead smooth dough and shape of an oval loaf. Put it in a pan with baking paper. Allow the cake to rise until doubled in volume and put it to bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes

It is good to put a bowl of water in the oven to moisten the air.
