At a summit meeting in Brighton, it was announced that eating fish protected people against depression. According to them, the reason is the presence of omega-3 fatty acids in the composition of fish delicacies. The study was carried out with the participation of 14 500 pregnant women.

Australian scientists in turn have discovered that eating fish products at least twice a week decreased the occurrence of depressive states by 25%. A team of scientists from the Research Institute in Tasmania carried out a study which included 1400 men and women between the ages of 26 and 36. Every one of them had to keep a food diary.
It was found that in men, the consumption of fish delicacies did not have much of an effect on the feeling of depression, while in women, a 6% decreased risk of depression was observed.
