The fatty liver has no symptoms for a long time (sometimes for years). This leads in most cases to its late discovery. It can even lead to cirrhosis. This is a diagnosis that should be treated immediately. In addition to taking medication, patients must follow a certain diet.
Fatty liver is not a disease in itself, but is caused by certain factors. This is a serious disease, which can even lead to death.
Hepatic steatosis can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
Alcoholic steatosis develops in people who have abused alcohol for a long time.
Non-alcoholic steatosis is caused by large amounts of fat that are ingested with food.

Consumption of whole grain foods, nuts and legumes is recommended.

Diet plays an important role in treating fatty liver. The regimen should be followed for at least a few months.
