How to Flavor Chicken Wings?

Chicken wings are a delicious food and have many fans. They can be fried, baked or grilled. They are prepared easily and quickly.

If you decide to fry them, first season them with salt, black pepper and if desired, with oregano.

When breading, they are first dipped in a beaten egg, then in flour, breadcrumbs or cornflakes.

When frying, most spices burn, so I prefer them cooked in the oven. They are best baked and here is what the preparation for Crispy Chicken Wings.

Wash them thoroughly with running water. They are poured with cold water and boiled for 20 minutes. Drain and dry with a kitchen towel. They can be divided into two parts.

They are flavored with chicken marinade prepared from 2 tbsp. honey, 2/5 cup (100 ml) soy sauce, 3 tbsp (50 ml) oil, paprika 1 tsp. oregano or other seasoning. This marinade is enough for about 1.5 lb (700 g) of chicken wings. Mix the ingredients well.

Separately, corn flour is mixed with a little water into a paste and breadcrumbs are poured into a plate. Roll the wings in the marinade and leave them to cool for 2-3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

When they are taken out, they are first rolled in corn flour, then dipped in breadcrumbs. Arrange them in a tray onto baking paper.

Bake the wings in a heated oven at 390°F (200°C) for about 30 minutes, until they acquire an appetizing color and they are ready.

If you want spicy wings, you can add some chili. You can also season them after they are already baked by pouring them with a spicy garlic sauce prepared in this way.

In a small saucepan, heat 5 tbsp. oil, 1 tsp. honey, 3 tbsp. soy sauce and 3 cloves of garlic /pressed/. Let it boil until the sauce is reduced and remove it from the heat to cool.

The baked wings are poured with the sauce and served with potatoes and beer.
