If you want to cook the perfect rice, which is not sticky, then the following adivces are for you.
Steps to make the perfect rice
1. The first thing to do before cooking the rice is to wash it very well several times under running cold water, until the water you wash it with is clear. Washing the rice removes the starch, which causes the rice to stick together, during cooking. If you have a colander, your task will be easier;
2. The second thing is to determine is the water-to-rice proportions depending on what type of rice you are going to cook. For blanched rice, which is most commonly cooked, the ratio is 1:3-1 cup rice, 3 cups water;
3. The third thing is to choose the cookware in which you will cook the rice, but for your convenience we will share, that rice is best cooked in a pot, which is desirable to have a thick bottom, because that way the temperature is distributed evenly everywhere. You can, of course, also use a large and deep pan;
4. If you are going to cook rice in a pot, first of all, you should boil water, which has salt in it. The rice is added only after that.
5. Do not stir the rice very often - it is enough to do it once. This will help prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot;
6. After the water boils, reduce the heat and cover the pot with a lid;
7. While the rice is cooking, it is recommended not to lift the lid of the pot;
8. If you don't want the rice to stick together, don't stir it while it's cooking, except the first time, which we talked about above. If you stir it constantly, its grains break and the starch is released;
9. Boiling the blanched rice takes about 20 minutes;
10. Once the rice is fully cooked, remove it from the stove and leave it for 10-15 minutes under a lid;
11. If there is moisture left in your rice, you can pour it out or cover the cookware with a dry cloth, which will absorb it;
