How to Make a Lattice Pie Crust?

Who doesn't like to eat pie?! But without a doubt, its preparation seems long and difficult! Surely everyone has discovered their tricks and secret steps in making their favorite pie and here are some of mine.

If you do not have enough time to prepare a special pie dough, which you want to make for yourself and your loved ones, you can use purchased chilled puff pastry, which is ready for use. There would be no easier option than this, but you would be surprised if you try, because the taste is unique!

Another little secret is that your products really need to be of high quality and well selected in order for the pie to taste good. And a well-made lattice pie crust gives it a good finished look, which is also important, but taste is most important.

The lattice pie crust can be "braided" from long cut strips of puff pastry. I place 2 parallel ones like a cross and intertwine. What you get is a classic pie - it would be best if the strips look the same and are even.

It would be more unconventional to experiment with different figures and the end result should again be something like a versin of the described lattice pie crust. This is done by cutting a sheet of puff pastry into the shape of the mold in which the pie is and on it with the help of a knife cut out certain figures or shapes.

For this step, you should make sure, that they are proportionate and evenly spaced out. This is not insignificant, as it affects the baking of the pie. Be creative and experiment.
