We all love fresh chilled meat, but unfortunately it has a very limited shelf life. Even the meat of a freshly slaughtered animal cannot last more than a few days in a refrigerated state, because it develops pathogenic bacteria and molds that are dangerous and harmful to humans.
According to local standards, you can store chilled red meat for up to 10 days in a refrigerator with a constant temperature of 0 to 4 degrees Celsius. If the red meat has a bone or it is chicken with a bone, then the shelf life in the refrigerator is a maximum of 2 days.
Chilled red meat should be stored at a temperature of 0 to 4 degrees and the temperature inside the meat should not exceed 7 degrees.
If you will not cook the meat during this period, it is best to freeze it.
Frozen chicken and red meat retain their taste for 6 months at -18 degrees and it is best to be shock freeze them very quickly, because that way the meat will be damaged the least.
