Salmon Marinades

Salmon marinade with lemon

The acid contained in lemon juice softens the salmon meat well, so in such a marinade it is enough to leave it for only an hour or two - this is enough for the fish to soak. Mix lemon juice with chopped garlic and grated lemon, add turmeric and ginger, stir as much as possible and pour this mixture over the salmon. Then place it in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

Salmon Teriyaki Marinade

Teriyaki sauce has a strong taste, so do not keep the fish in it for a very long time - maximum 2 hours. It is prepared in the following way: mix 1 cup of soy sauce, half a cup of vegetable oil, add 3 tablespoons of sugar and 3 chopped garlic cloves, 1 spoon of ginger and 2 spoons of sherry. Place the salmon fillet in the finished marinade, cover it and leave it in a cool place.

Salmon marinade with dill

This marinade exactly repeats the composition of the marinade with lemon, the only difference being that here you need to add a few tablespoons of dried dill. To weaken the taste of lemon, you can reduce its amount and compensate for the lack of vinegar with red wine.

Salted salmon

For salted salmon you can use this simple method. Dissolve 2 tablespoons of salt in 2 cups of water and pour it over the fish in the timeframe of two hours. Dilute 200 ml of sunflower oil with 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Then strain the salmon from the brine, place it in a jar, add coriander, cloves, bay leaf and fill it with oil. If you want the taste to be rich, leave the salmon in it for a few more hours.

Grilled salmon

If you decide to prepare a grilled salmon, here's a great recipe: Mix half a glass of dry white wine, half a glass of soy sauce, a quarter glass of water, a chopped onion, crushed garlic, cloves, 2 tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of black pepper and Tabasco sauce, in order to marinate the salmon. The fish should be kept in the marinade for up to 1 hour. Remember that grilled salmon is fully cooked in just 5 minutes and in the recipe you can replace the wine with light beer.
