"Time for a tasty round loaf that`s as fluffy as cotton. It`s easy to make and the ingredients are available in every store."

Ingredients

  • water - 1 cup, warm
  • milk - 1 cup, warm
  • oil - 1 cup
  • sugar - 2 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tbsp
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g) or 1 dry
  • flour - 6 cups + some for kneading
  • eggs - 1 yolk

How to make

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water. Cover them with a towel and wait until effervescent or doubled in volume. If using dry yeast, pour it directly into the flour.

In your kneading bowl, pour 4 cups sifted flour and in a well in the middle pour in the oil, yeast, warm milk and salt. Gradually add the rest of the flour, while kneading until you obtain a soft and stretchy dough. Form balls, arrange them in a tray.

Leave to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in volume. Smear with 1 tbsp oil and the yolk. Optionally, sprinkle on seeds.

Bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for 40-50 min.
