How to make
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water. Cover them with a towel and wait until effervescent or doubled in volume. If using dry yeast, pour it directly into the flour.
In your kneading bowl, pour 4 cups sifted flour and in a well in the middle pour in the oil, yeast, warm milk and salt. Gradually add the rest of the flour, while kneading until you obtain a soft and stretchy dough. Form balls, arrange them in a tray.
Leave to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in volume. Smear with 1 tbsp oil and the yolk. Optionally, sprinkle on seeds.
Bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for 40-50 min.
