Ingredients

  • eggs - 3, minus 1 yolk
  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml), warm
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • yeast - 1 packet dry or 1 cube fresh
  • yoghurt - 2 tbsp
  • flour - 3 1/3 cups (800 g)
  • butter - 2/5 cup (100 g), softened, for smearing the sheets
  • feta cheese - 9 oz (250 g)

How to make

In the warm milk, dissolve the yeast, add the rest of the products, knead a soft dough, leave it to rise. Divide it into 4 balls, roll out each one to the size of a plate and smear with butter.

Arrange thus rolled out sheets one atop the other, roll them out together into 1 large sheet.

Smear again with butter, sprinkle with feta cheese and wrap into a roll. Cut it into 2 lengthwise, twist each one and arrange them in a spiral shape. Leave to rise in the buttered tray and smear with the remaining yolk on top.

Bake the tutmanik at 360°F (180 °C) until ready.
