How to make
Pick well-ripened cornels and wash them thoroughly with water. Put them in a pot, pour cold water over them.
Boil on high heat until the fruits crack (20-30 min). Then strain well through a strainer. Save the fruits for cakes or decoration.
Return the syrup to the pot, pour in the sugar and boil until it melts (about 10 min). Add the citric acid at the end.
Let it cool and pour into a bottle. Store in the fridge. You can dilute with sparkling or mineral water. Serve with mint leaves and ice cubes. A superb summer beverage!
