How to make
Heat the oven to 320°F (160 °C). You're going to need a rectangular oven dish.
Caramel: Pour 8 tbsp sugar in a casserole, put it on a medium stove to heat until the sugar gains a golden crisp. Pour this into the oven dish and spread it out as much as possible.
Beat the eggs and sugar in the mixer's bowl until whitened. Carefully, pour the warm milk in a thin trickle while beating nonstop with the mixer. Add the vanilla.
Pour this mixture into the oven dish with the caramel, and put it, in turn, into another dish with cold water. Bake at 320°F (160 °C) for about 1 hour. If during the baking in a water bath the water in the large dish starts to boil, add a few ice cubes to stop the process.
Let it cool completely and cut it into large rectangular pieces.
