"You`re going to fall in love with the combination of tender potato meatballs and apple puree."

Ingredients

  • potatoes - 3.5 lb (1.6 kg)
  • feta cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • eggs - 2
  • savory - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1 tsp
  • oil - for frying
  • flour - for rolling
  • apples - 26.5 oz (750 g)
  • water - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • sugar - 8 tbsp
measures

How to make

Potato Meatballs: Boil the potatoes in a deep container. While still hot, peel and mash them. Add 7 oz (200 g) grated feta cheese, break 2 eggs, add the savory, black pepper and salt to taste. Stir the mixture well and put it in the fridge for 2 hours.

Once the time has elapsed, get ready to fry them. Form meatballs, roll them lightly in flour and fry in heated oil until they get an orange crisp. Once fried, place them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.

Apple Puree: Wash, peel and clean 26.5 oz (750 g) of apples. Cut them into small cubes about 1/2″ (1 cm) per side and place them in a suitably large glass cook pot. After putting the apples, pour in 4/5 cup (200 ml) water. Saute the apples in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven.

Bake about 25 min., take them out, add 8 tbsp sugar, stir lightly and return to the oven for 5 more min. Once the apples are ready, leave them aside to cool, then blend with a blender until you obtain a smooth puree.
