Ingredients

  • chicken steaks - 6, from the thighs
  • spice mix - 1 tsp, for BBQ
  • black pepper - 2 pinches, ground
  • olive oil - 3 tbsp
  • soy sauce - 4 tbsp
  • white wine - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • orange juice - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)
  • honey - 3 tbsp

How to make

The amazing taste of these chicken steaks comes from the marinade I made for them. I guarantee that they will turn out uniquely delicious, I've tested the recipe numerous times along with my readers. You won't regret it.

If you love perfectly flavored grilled meat, tender and juicy, then this recipe is for you.

Make the marinade by putting the wet and dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir and place the chicken steaks in it.

Roll them well with your hand and cover the bowl with foil. Leave them to marinate in the fridge for 6 hours.

For grilling, you can use a charcoal, electric, barbecue grill or the oven.

Drain the steaks from the marinade and arrange them skin down on the grill (be sure to smear it well with some lard or oil beforehand).

If using an oven like I did, set it to 360°F (180 °C) and choose the grill setting if it has one.

Put a large oven dish with a little water in it at the bottom of the oven, put the chicken on the grilling rack on top and bake on both sides until the meat gets a caramel crisp.

The fat from the meat will drip down into the oven dish below it, so there's no danger of spattering your oven.

If you plan on using a garnish, I recommend putting coarsely chopped potatoes in the oven dish, so that you cook both of them simultaneously and so that the juices from the meat drip directly onto the potatoes.
