Ingredients

  • pears - 3, medium
  • green cheese - 3 oz (90 g)
  • butter - 1/3 cup (80 g)
  • eggs - 3
  • sugar - 1/3 cup (90 g)
  • vanilla - 1
  • baking powder - 1 tsp (5 g)
  • flour - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • milk - 1 2/3 tbsp (25 ml)
  • cocoa - 1 tbsp
  • dark chocolate - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • powdered sugar - for sprinkling

How to make

Melt the chocolate and butter in a water bath and then leave them to cool. Beat the eggs with the sugar into cream, add the vanilla and salt.

Combine the flour, baking powder and cocoa in a bowl. Add them to the egg mixture. Pour in the milk and stir. Add the chocolate with the butter and stir once again until well mixed.

Cut the tops off the washed pears, set them aside. Carve out the seeds and part of the inside carefully. Fill the pears with the crumbled green cheese. Close them with their tops.

Grease and flour a rectangular cake form. Pour the mixture you made into it and place the pears on top, some distance from one another. Bake in a preheated 340°F (170 °C) oven until the cake is ready. Check to see if it is with a wooden skewer.

Leave the cake to cool in the cake form. Then take it out and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
