Beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a smooth cream and gradually add the flour, sifted with baking powder beforehand.
Mix in the yogurt and grated lemon rind. Pour the mixture into a buttered pan and put the cake to bake in a moderate preheated oven. Once cooked, pour over with a fruit syrup of your choice.
You can use the juice of stewed apricots, peaches and other fruits.
