Boil the bamboo briefly. Separately, stew the meat and mushrooms. To them add the tomato sauce, mustard, chopped garlic and spices.
Add the bamboo, stir and let everything simmer for 4-5 minutes. Transfer the resulting mixture to an oven dish and bake until the sauce thickens.
Another good option is to let the dish continue simmering on the stove and let the sauce thicken that way.
