"An alternative, provocative and no-less tasty version of sushi with pork mince and lettuce."

Ingredients

  • mince - 14 oz (400 g) pork
  • oil - 1 tablespoon
  • chestnuts - 1 cup (230 g) finely chopped, water
  • bamboo shoots - 1/2 cup (125 g) finely chopped
  • green onions - 6 sprigs of chopped
  • sherry - 2 tablespoon dry (or white wine)
  • soya sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • sesame oil - 2 tsp
  • oyster sauce - 2 tsp
  • lettuce - small leaves or a salad
  • mint - finely chopped, to serve
  • for the sauce
  • plum sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • hoisin sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • soya sauce - 1 tsp

How to make

Fry the minced meat in vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat until browning. Add the chestnuts, bamboo shoots and green onions. Fry for 1 minute.

Mix the sherry, soya sauce, sesame oil and oyster sauce and add it to the meat. Mix well and fry for 2 minutes, then remove it from the heat.

Prepare the sauce by mixing the products for it with 2 tablespoons of water.

Put about 1 tablespoon of the mixture on each lettuce leaf, roll it up and serve. The sauce is served in a separate bowl.
