Mix both types of flour with the baking powder and sugar, season with salt and black pepper. Whip the egg lightly, then continue beating with the milk and add to the flour.

Stick the frankfurters on wet wooden skewers and heat the oil to 300°F (150°C). Dip the sausages in the crumbing and put them to fry until golden.
Take them out with a slotted spoon and leave them to drain on paper towels. Serve the corn dogs with ketchup and mustard.
