Ingredients

  • potatoes - 2.2 lb (1 kg) boiled
  • butter - 0.7 oz (20 g)
  • milk - 3.4 fl oz (100 ml)
  • onions - 2
  • carrots - 2
  • oil - 1 tbsp.
  • minced meat - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • savory herb - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper - 1 pinch
  • cumin - a pinch
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • smoked paprika - 1 tbsp.
  • yellow cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • parsley

How to make

Boil the potatoes, mash them with butter, milk and a pinch of salt.

Cut two onions, two carrots and fry them in 1 tbsp. of oil.

Add the minced meat to the onions and carrots, as well as the spices - 1 tsp. savory herb, a pinch of black pepper, a pinch of cumin, 1 tbsp. smoked paprika and 1 tsp. salt.

Put the fried minced meat and vegetables in a baking pan and level out the mixture, then do the same with the mashed potatoes.

Add the sliced cheese on top. Bake the delicious shepherd's pie for 30 minutes at 430°F (220°C) in a preheated oven.

You can add fresh parsley to garnish your wonderful shepherd's pie.
