Ingredients

  • yoghurt - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)
  • yeast - 2 tsp (10 g), baker's
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1 tablespoon + some for the clay dish/pan
  • water - 2 1/2 cups
  • eggs - 1
  • butter - to smear on the flapjacks
measures

How to make

Mix the yeast with a little warm water and the sugar. Add it to the sifted flour in a bowl with the salt and water. You need to get a thick dough let it rise for about 1 hour.

Then add the egg to the mixture along with the yoghurt and baking soda. Stir the mixture, which needs to get the density of cake batter. Leave for 30 minutes to rise again. Heat a well greased clay dish (a pan with a thick bottom also works).

Bake the flapjacks on both sides with a thickness of 1″ (2.5 cm) along the edges. Brush each cooked one with melted butter.

Serve the flapjacks with yeast with a sweet or salty garnish.
