Ingredients

  • potatoes - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • butter - 2 tablespoons
  • nutmeg - to taste
  • feta cheese - 2 tablespoons
  • ham - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • eggs - 4 hard - boiled
  • flour - 1 1/2 cups
  • oil - 2 tablespoons
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • water - 1 cup

How to make

Boil the potatoes in salted water, peel and mash them. Mix the puree with salt, black pepper, the butter, a little grated nutmeg and crumbled feta cheese. Separately, chop the ham, cheese and hard-boiled eggs. Mix well.

Knead a dough from the flour, 2 tablespoons of oil, pinch of salt and 1 cup water and divide it in 2. Roll out 2 sheets depending on the size of the tray in which you will bake the potato pita in. Make one sheet a little larger than the other. Put the larger one in a greased baking dish and sprinkle it with oil.

The ends need to spill out from the edges of the tray. Spread half of the mashed potatoes and sprinkle them with a mixture of ham, cheese and eggs. Cover the mixture with the remaining puree, put the small sheet on it and wrap it with the larger sheet.

Put the pita to bake for about 40 minutes in a highly preheated oven.
