How to make
Dilute the yeast with the sugar in the warm water and a little bit of the milk. Leave it in a warm place for 10-15 minutes. Sift the flour with the salt and add the remaining warm milk, yeast and melted butter to it. Gradually knead a soft and elastic dough, kneading takes 10-15 minutes.
Put the dough in a greased bowl, cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in volume. From the dough, form 20 identical pitas and arrange them in a tray, gently flatten and smear them with plenty of milk. Sprinkle lightly with flour and leave them to rise for about 40 minutes again (until doubled in volume).
Sprinkle the risen bread with flour again and put them to bake for about 20 minutes in a heated 390°F (200 °C) oven.
